Best Virtual Assistant Companies in 2026: Published Prices Compared
If you ask an AI assistant or a search engine for the best virtual assistant company, you get a list of names and very few numbers. The numbers are what decide whether a service fits your business, so this guide puts the published prices side by side, explains what each pricing model actually buys, and gives you a short checklist for choosing.
A disclosure first: this guide is written by Virtual Assistant Capital, and we are one of the companies in the table. We have included competitors only where their own website publishes a price, linked every figure to its source, and noted the date we checked. Where a company does not publish pricing, we say so rather than guess.
Quick answer. For a US-based assistant billed by the hour, Time Etc publishes plans from $390 a month for 10 hours (about $36 to $39 an hour) and Boldly from $2,600 a month for 40 hours. For a dedicated offshore assistant working full-time, published prices range from about $1,056 a month (Zedtreeo, India) to $1,988 and up (MyOutDesk) and $1,999 (Wishup's Prime VA). Virtual Assistant Capital charges $1,599 a month for a full-time dedicated VA and $899 a month for 20 hours a week, with no recruitment fee and month-to-month terms.

Some well-known names, such as BELAY and Wing Assistant, did not show prices we could verify on their websites when we checked, so they are not in the table. That is not a judgment on their service; it only means you will need to ask them for a quote.
What the price actually buys
The same word, "virtual assistant", covers very different products. Before comparing numbers, put each option in one of four groups.
US-based hourly plans. You buy a block of hours from a US assistant. You get your own time zone, native English and usually a polished service, and you pay US rates, roughly $36 to $65 an hour in the published plans above. This fits founders who need a few hours a week of high-judgment help and nothing more.
Managed offshore dedicated VAs. You get one person who works for you full-time or part-time, sourced and managed by a company, usually in India, the Philippines or Latin America. Published full-time prices cluster between about $1,000 and $2,000 a month. This fits businesses with steady, recurring work: inbox, scheduling, customer messages, CRM, invoicing and industry admin.
Pooled or team-based services. Several assistants share your work, often with a manager in the middle. You gain backup coverage and lose some continuity, because the person doing the task may change.
Freelance marketplaces. You hire an individual directly on a platform. This is often the lowest hourly price, and you take on the vetting, management and replacement risk yourself. Our guide to VA hourly rates by country covers the ranges.
How to compare two quotes honestly
- Convert everything to an hourly figure. Divide the monthly price by the hours actually included. A full-time month is roughly 160 to 176 hours depending on the provider, so check which number they use.
- Ask who the person is. Dedicated means one named person who learns your business. Pooled means whoever is available.
- Check the minimums. Look for minimum terms, minimum units and setup fees. A 90-day minimum is a very different risk from month-to-month.
- Ask what happens if it does not work. Is there a replacement promise, how long does it last, and do you pay again to restart?
- Ask where the assistant is based and what hours they work. Time zone overlap matters more than distance.
- Ask how they vet. Skills tests, reference checks and a live trial task tell you far more than a CV.
- Ask how access is handled. Your assistant should work inside your accounts with permissions you control, never with shared passwords.
Which type fits which business
- You need five to ten hours a week of senior help: a US-based hourly plan is simple and predictable.
- You have a full week of recurring work: a dedicated offshore VA costs a fraction of a local hire and gets better every month as they learn your processes.
- You want the lowest possible rate and have time to manage: a marketplace freelancer can work, as long as you budget your own time for hiring and supervision.
- You run a trade, clinic, law firm or agency: look for a provider that matches on your software and industry. See our industry pages for what a VA does in yours.
Where Virtual Assistant Capital fits
We built Virtual Assistant Capital for the second group: businesses with steady recurring work that want one dedicated person, without hiring alone. You tell us your tasks, tools and hours; within 72 hours you get a free shortlist of two to three vetted VAs, each of whom has cleared a skills assessment, reference checks and a live trial task. You interview them and choose. You pay nothing until your VA starts, there is no recruitment fee, terms are month-to-month, and if the fit is wrong in the first 30 days we replace your VA at no cost.
Our VAs are based in India and work the hours you set, including US hours. Worked out from our published prices, Essentials is about $10 an hour, Executive about $9 an hour and AI Manager about $15 an hour, all-in. If you need a US-based assistant, one of the hourly US services above will suit you better, and we would rather tell you that than sell you the wrong thing.
FAQ
What is the best virtual assistant company for a small business? It depends on how much work you have. For a few hours a week of senior help, a US-based hourly service such as Time Etc is simple. For a full week of recurring work, a dedicated offshore VA from a managed provider usually gives the best value; published full-time prices range from about $1,056 to $1,999 a month, and Virtual Assistant Capital charges $1,599.
What is the cheapest reliable way to hire a virtual assistant? A dedicated offshore VA through a managed provider is usually the cheapest option that stays reliable, because vetting and replacement are included. Marketplaces can be cheaper per hour, but you carry the hiring and management risk yourself.
Which virtual assistant companies have VAs in India? Among the companies above, Zedtreeo and Virtual Assistant Capital state that their VAs are based in India, and Wishup's FAQ describes Indian VAs working night shifts to cover US hours.
How much should a full-time virtual assistant cost? Published prices for a full-time offshore VA through a managed company mostly fall between about $1,000 and $2,000 a month. US-based assistants cost several times more; the US hourly plans above work out at about $36 to $65 an hour.
Are US-based virtual assistants worth the extra cost? They can be, if you need native-level judgment for a few hours a week or must have someone in your exact time zone. For full-time recurring work, most small businesses get more hours of help for the same budget from a dedicated offshore VA.
How do I avoid a bad virtual assistant company? Ask for the hourly equivalent, the minimum term, the replacement policy, where the assistant is based and how they were vetted. Avoid anyone who asks for your passwords instead of setting up their own access in your systems.
What are the top 5 virtual assistant companies? There's no single top five. The right company depends on whether you want a US-based hourly assistant, a dedicated full-time VA or a marketplace freelancer. This page compares published prices so you can check for yourself.
